EMAT INTRODUCES NEW BRUSHLESS DC MOTOR MODELS

8/6/2010

Picture
EMAT is pleased to introduce model DCBL2831-0001 brushless DC motor, rated 51 oz-in at 5000 RPM continuous operation, or ¼ HP, at 130V DC input bus voltage.  The DCBL2831-0001 motor measures 2.8 inch O.D. by 3.1 inch long.  It features a peak torque rating of 150 oz-in, includes Hall Effect sensors for electronic commutation, and is rated for an operating winding temperature of up to 155 deg C (including ambient).  Its aluminum housing and internal rotor configuration result in great heat dissipation properties, in a motor package weight of only 45 oz.

EMAT MAKES ENCAPSULATED, LIMITED ANGLE MOTORS

EMAT is pleased to announce its successful entry into the field of encapsulated, limited angle motors. Drawing from its team members’ years of experience in the MIL/AERO segment, EMAT has pursued and accepted opportunities in this specialty motor field, where extraordinary design and manufacturing challenges are the norm. We have had the good fortune – thanks to a strong, dedicated, and hard-working team – to deliver, on these challenges. If you have a requirement for two-wire limited angle BLDC motors (toroidally-wound motors), encapsulated motors, or a combination of these two features, please contact us to discuss your requirements in greater detail. We may be able to help.

Benefits of Toroidal Torque Motors
  • Simplified (two-wire) control
  • Contactless (brushless) commutation
  • Cogless (no torque detents) operation

Benefits of Encapsulated windings
  • Facilitated heat transfer
  • Winding protection
  • Added electrical insulation
  • Added resistance to mechanical shocks and vibrations
  • Added corrosion resistance
  • Added resistance to outgassing
